3. Rachel Goldstar - Sophistry - From the album "Introducing Rachel Goldstar
2001-2005". I'm not entirely sure how avaliable this record is but if you find one you shold snap it up.

4. Ports Of Call - Claire - Taken from the album "Like Thieves...".A fine album and you'll be hearing more from this lot on these pages in the future. Out early next year.

7. 18th Dye - Dive (Che') I had completely forgotton about this record until just the other day when I was doing a spot of re-filing. This track is just fantastic. Taken from the classic album "Done".

1. Cosmicdust - Meditation (CD-R) This is probably my favorite album at the moment. It’s been getting some serious hammer on the i-pod all week. “Snow Noise Assemblage” is the title and you’re life is incomplete without it, unfortunately it seems quite tricky to find. I’ll try to find out if there are any plans afoot to re-issue it in any form and if not I may well post the entier album here.

2. The High Violets - Cool Green (Reverb) From the album “To Where You Are”. buy here) The High Violets will be releasing a remix album in November through Reverb Records which will feature remixes of tracks from both “To Where You Are” and their previous album “44 Down”.

3. Jatun - Ghost & Grey (Other Electricities) First track from the self titled debut album.

4. Flat 7 - Smile (Robin Guthrie Remix) From the album “Lost In Blue”.

5. The Twilight Sad - Walking For Two Hours (Fat Cat) From the album “Fourteen Autumns and Fifteen Winters”.

3. Youngteammusic - Your Love (Northern Star)
All the way from Stockholm, Sweden. This comes from what I think was the bands debut release, a seven track album called “Missnobandjet”. Their my space page has some new tracks on it which will apparently form part of a new album called “Vulcanhaircut”

4. Grouper - Heart Current (Root Strata)
As promised last week here’s a track from the latest Grouper Offering “Cover The Windows & The Walls”. I’m not entierly sure but I think I’m correct in saying this release is on vinyl only and limited to 300 and has old out. I will check this out over the next week or so and if there is no prospect of any more copies becoming avaliable I may well post the entire album on this site

5. Thrushes - Wake Up (Birdnote)
Another track from the brilliant album “Sun Come Undone”

6. Epic 45 - The Stars In Spring (Make Mine Music)
Taken from the album “May Your Heart Be The Map”

7. The Nova Saints - The Draft (HR4 Records)
This is the title track from the Bristol bands latest ep. Apparently they originally hail from Hereford and if they had decided to stay there would have been the first time I had heard a decent band from Hereford (only kidding….honest)

3. Grouper - Tried (Type Records)
Very nice 7? single from Liz Harris and friends. The album “Cover The Windows & The Walls” is also well worth tracking down. If I remember I’ll stick a track in next weeks download.

4. Grimble Grumble - Wish Song (Pehr)
Taken from the 2004 album “Leaves Ladder”.

5. Alcian Blue - Spiral (Safranin Sound)
This track comes from what is sadly the very last Alcian Blue release.

6. She, Sir - I Love You Blowtorch Eyes (She, Sir)
I know I played a track from this last week but the truth of the matter is I just can't leave this album alone.

7. Manual - Marbella (Darla)
From the new album "Lost Days, Open Skies and Streaming Tides" which comes as a very nice 2cd set containing loads of rarities, remixes and unreleased stuff recorded between 2002 and now.

8. Luhn - Myriad ()
This comes from a split ep which Luhn (Ryan Welfle) shares with Alexander Berntsen.

9. The Voices - I’ll Always Be Within You When There’s No-One Left Inside (My Kung Fu)
Taken from the 2007 album "The Sound Of Young America".

10. Jesu - Sun Down (Aurora Boraelis)
Released a few months ago but already pretty much sold out. This is side 1 of the "Sun Down/Sun Rise" ep in all of it's seventeen and a half minute glory.

Track from the new album, which is as yet untitled and will hopefully be released later in the year. Their first self-titled cd was released a couple of years ago and if that was anything to go by we await the new stuff with baited ears. You can purchase their first album here.

When NW Shoegazer told me Vibrato 2 was going to be full of cover versions I felt pretty sure this track would be in there somewhere. However it's non inclusion gives me the perfect excuse to put it up here. By the way if you have not downloaded Vibrato 2 yet then I recommend you do. The highlight without doubt is the Trespassers William version of Vapor Trail. Gorgeous is the only word I can think of......

3. Airiel - The Release (Highwheel)
Another track from what is sure to become one of the essential albums of the year "The Battle Of Sealand".

4. Jesu - Blind & Faithless (Temporary Residence)
This comes from a 12" EP which Jesu share with Evulium. Not sure how many copies were pressed but I think it's probably quite limited.

5. Ulrich Schnauss - Look At The Sky (Rob Mcvey Version) (Independiente)
From the excellent "Quicksand Memory" EP.

6. A Sunny Day In Glasgow - Summerlong Silences (Notenuf Records)
From the new EP "Tout New Age".

7. My Bloody Valentine - Swallow (Creation)
From possibly the finest EP ever to grace the surface of the planet. The "Tremolo EP" was released back in 1991 yet still manages to find it's way onto my stereo with alarming regularity. "Swallow" is the second track on the EP and contains some of the best sounds I have ever heard.

8. Spotlight Kid - Never's Too Soon (Club AC30)
From the album "Departure". One of the best debuts of the year.

Tremelo 03

1. Monotone - Kiss Me Awake (Wurlitzer Jukebox)
This is a 7" single from a few years ago. I think some of their singles have recently been released as a cd compilation but I have as yet to find a copy.

2. A Place To Bury Strangers - Don't Think Lover ()
The band will be releasing a ten track cd next month through Killer Pimp Records. I hear they are supporting The Jesus & Mary Chain at some point as well.

3. Alcest - Ciel Errant (Profound Lore)
From the bands debut album "Souvenirs d'un autre monde". Out 3rd August. This is the track I keep coming back to. Not sure if you can order it yet but try HERE

4. Jessica Bailiff - Helpless (Bad Jazz)
This is one of the most hauntingly beautiful tracks ever commited to vinyl. It has just been re-issued on a Jessica Bailiff compilation called "Old Things" which if your not familiar with Jessica Bailiff would be a very good purchase. Apart from this track there are at least three more which make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck.

5. Secret Shine - Temporal (Sarah)
From the album "After Years".

6. The Sky Drops - Now Would Be (Skydrops)
Taken from the "Clouds Of People" ep.

7. Televise - Mezzo (Drifting Falling)
Taken from the album "Strings and Wires".

8. Sleepy Eyes Of Death - Statoc For Blood (Sleep Capsule)
From the new album "Streetlights For A Ribcage".

9. The Emerald Down - Red Shift (Pop Sound)
From the briliant 2001 album "Scream The Sound".

10. My Bloody Valentine - Sugar (The Catalogue)
Not sure if this track ever got an official release. If not it certainly should have. This version comes from a flexi disc which was given away free with an issue of The Catalogue magazine back in 1989. According to Kevin Shields there could well be a new My Bloody Valentine album next year....now where have I heard that before?

Here we go then, this weeks download is pretty unmissable by my reckoning with tracks from the brand new releases by The Fleeting Joys, Airiel, Ulrich Schnauss and Astral.
By the way if anyone would like to join the site as a contributor and do a few reviews or...well, whatever you want really, please get in touch.
On with the music.......

1. All Natural Lemon & Lime Flavours - All The Time (Gern Blandsten)
From the self titled album originally released in 1996 but re-issued through Gern Blandsten in 2001.

2. Airiel - Thinktank (Highwheel)
Taken from the brilliant new album "The Battle Of Sealand". Out 29th August. I think this is probably the best thing the band have done so far. A must have.

3. Tears Run Rings - A Question & An Answer (Disaster Club)
Title track from the California bands "Question & An Answer" EP.

4. Ulrich Schnauss - Shine (Independente)
From the new album "Goodbye". I think this is probably my favorite track although ask me tomorrow and it will another one. Great record.

5. Starflyer 59 - Droned (Tooth & Nail)
Taken from the 1998 album "Starflyer 59".

6. Rumskib - Hearts On Fire (Darla)
Without a doubt one of the most essentiel releases of the year. No record collection is comlete without one of these.

7. Fleeting Joys - Go & Come Back (Only Forever)
This comes from the new album "Despondent Transponder" which I think hits the streets on 27th July.

8. Asobi Seksu - Sooner (One Little Indian)
Definately my prefered track from the New York bands "Walk On The Moon" CD single. Should have been the lead track in my humble opinion.

9. The December Sound - Kill Me (Before I Kill You) (Northern Star)
Taken from the bands "Kill Me" EP which appeared at the back end of last year. The album is almost complete and should see a release in the autumn.

10. Astral - Transmitter (Vibraphone)
From the bands brand new "Transmitter" EP.
